Anti-Vaxxers Are Right, “Vaccine Safety Advocates” Are A Farce

Yes, Autism Investigated said it. To say you are not anti-vaccine, but a “vaccine safety advocate” is to make yourself into a big farce. No offense to the people who identify with that term, but it’s true.

But before you attack Autism Investigated for the headline, ask yourself: what is a safe vaccine? What does one look like? What’s in it, and how would it be implemented?

The truth is you cannot answer those questions because the people behind vaccines refuse to answer themselves. They are the ones obligated to answer those questions truthfully, that they will not is not our problem. So why keep begging them too?

Over the years, nearly every major “vaccine safety” initiative has fallen flat. Hannah Poling is ancient history. Jenny McCarthy faded out of public view. And Andrew Wakefield “the fraud” is the so-called scandal.

One of the most self-destructive arguments against vaccines over the last 10 years has been “only MMR and thimerosal was studied.” It is saying that they were already ruled out, when in fact they were lied about being safe just like the rest of the vaccine schedule. It is a talking point championed by Generation Rescue founder JB Handley and rehashed most recently in his Highwire with Del Bigtree interview.

Autism Investigated has requested to go onto Del Bigtree’s show – not to attack JB or anyone else – but to argue why anti-vaccination is the right position. Not only is it right because vaccinations are dangerous and the outcomes of vaccination are horrific, but because the people behind vaccination are totally corrupt.

We can talk about the “safe vaccines” all we want. We can talk about how we want the miracle potion of the “safe vaccine,” but it doesn’t exist. We all know it, but we all don’t want to say it.

It is the life’s work of Autism Investigated’s editor to dismantle the vaccine program in its entirety. Its creation was a disastrous mistake. It must be opposed and so too should vaccines in their present and only conceivable form. That is why Autism Investigated is anti-vaccine, and that is why you should be too.

Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated Studies Back Online

008ad6c

From JB Handley:

What if a study of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children was published, removed, republished in a different journal, removed again because of online misinformation, and then republished (today) after the misinformation was cleared up? Well, then you’d have the first study of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children officially online and in a journal (as of this moment).

If you’re confused, you’re not alone. And just to clarify: this study has NEVER been retracted, only removed by two journals, and re-published by the second one…Starting to think this is the study that just “won’t go away!”

And, if that’s not confusing enough, please note there are actually TWO separate studies on unvaccinated children in the same journal. The second one is linked in my first comment, and it concerns premature infants.

When the papers were first removed, one notoriously dishonest blogger named David Gorski (a.k.a :”Orac”) had nuclear organism. He also wanted to make very clear that he learned about the initial deletion of papers from yours truly, using a new nickname he has coined:

So what did I overlook? Well, thanks to The Gnat (and if you don’t know who The Gnat is, just look at the comments of yesterday’s post) I realized that I missed half the fail. Here’s what I mean:

Yes, that’s the conspiracy crank site InfoWars, and yes InfoWars is eating this study up, interviewing Celeste McGovern, who is promoted as a “vaccine expert.” I had never heard of her before, but it turns out that she writes for Claire Dwoskin’s Children’s Medical Safety Research Institute (CMSRI), one of the two antivaccine groups that funded Mawson’s study. (The other was Generation Rescue.) As expected, she is antivaccine to the core.

What I learned, though, from following The Gnat’s link is that there was a second paper published in the very same bottom-feeding predatory open access journal by Mawson using the very same survey dataset, Preterm birth, vaccination and neurodevelopmental disorders: a cross-sectional study of 6- to 12-year-old vaccinated and unvaccinated children. Clearly, Mawson believes in the concept of “minimal publishable unit” (or MPU, as we call it) in which you divide the data into as many papers as you can and still get manage to get published, hence his publishing two papers instead of one.

Amusingly, when I clicked on that link, I got a “not found” error message, but as of yesterday the paper was still in Google Cache, and I saved a copy for your edification. [LINK] This led me to check the link to the other paper, and guess what? It was gone yesterday, too

Yet after the studies re-appeared today, all Gorski said was this:

The first study appears to be back on the OAT website…

Poor Gorski, he celebrated way too soon.

Fight Crooked Media, Donate To The Donald Trump Campaign!

1469158615512

Progressive and feminist bloggers who spread dangerous lies on behalf of the crooked vaccine injury cover-up are slamming Donald Trump for giving money to Jenny McCarthy’s vaccine-induced autism charity Generation Rescue and to exonerated British doctor Andrew Wakefield’s Strategic Autism Initiative.

They include:

-Forbes’ Emily Willingham who lied about the existence of federal autism research results and lied that Dr. Wakefield is responsible for neglecting a gastrointestinal connection to autism. She went on a long hiatus and even called herself a “former journalist” before Forbes resurrected her after winning an industry-funded “award.”

-Tim Mak of The Daily Beast which called autistic men pedophiles

-Mark Sumner of the DailyKos which banned comments acknowledging vax-autism link, to which AI responded by banning comments linking to Kos (Note: that applies to comments on this post)

-Brad Reed of Raw Story which AlterNet re-ran, because all these sites are practically the same anyway

How should we – as people opposed to the child-poisoning lies that are the US vaccine program – respond?

Simple: Donate to the campaign to elect Donald Trump president so he can end the autism epidemic! Crooked Hillary will do all she can to make it continue. Unlike the mole-and-Democrat-run Age of Autism blog, Autism Investigated is fully committed to making this happen. So donate to Donald Trump’s campaign, and Make America Great Again!

The wall just went 10 feet higher, and the vaccine program just went six feet under.

The Autism Policy Reform Coalition’s Futile Fix – Under Construction?

Broken egg isolated on white background

By Jake Crosby

The Autism Policy Reform Coalition (APRC) is an umbrella organization of groups that support “fixing” the Combating Autism Act, now renamed the Autism CARES Act. APRC’s member organizations include SafeMinds, the National Autism Association (NAA), Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) and Generation Rescue.

APRC’s main aim specific to autism causation is the creation of an “Office of Autism Spectrum Disorder Research” at the NIH, modeled after the agency’s Office of AIDS Research. This proposal originated with SafeMinds, which appears to be leading the coalition.

Curious, I emailed APRC some questions below highlighting my concerns about its proposed “fixing.”

Hi,

I have several questions I would like for you to address regarding your coalition.

1. Why do you want an autism research office in a federal agency culpable for covering up and whitewashing autism causation, that supports the stifling of debate and also supports libelous attacks on scientists?

2. Why is one of your biggest political allies Biotechnology Industry Organization’s two-time “Legislator of the Year” Mike Enzi, who published a report calling clear-cut cases of federal scientific misconduct “not substantiated”?

3. Why do you ask for a greater “federal response” from agencies caught hiding, manipulating and misrepresenting research?

4. Why does the only IACC representative of any of your member groups never mention this malfeasance as she sits in committee meetings along side some of its worst perpetrators?

5. Why do your member organizations in your coalition to influence autism legislation include SafeMinds, which hijacked the 2012 congressional autism hearing by misrepresenting its original organizer to congressional staff?

I look forward to a timely response to my questions.

Sincerely,

Jake Crosby, MPH

I’ve received no word back, so I can only imagine how APRC could defend asking for an “Office of Autism Spectrum Disorder Research” in an agency known to cover up evidence that vaccinations are causing autism, exemplified by none other than NIH’s director of strategic planning for vaccine research, Gordon Douglas:

“Four current studies are taking place to rule out the proposed link between autism and thimerosal…In order to undo the harmful effects of research claiming to link the [measles] vaccine to an elevated risk of autism, we need to conduct and publicize additional studies to assure parents of safety.”

Would Act Up want an Office of AIDS Research in the NIH if it were trying to cover up that HIV is causing AIDS?

Not likely.

Weeks after my email and days after the Senate delayed voting on the Autism CARES bill opposed by APRC, the APRC website was gutted and the webpage describing APRC’s proposed autism bill was scrubbed. All that remains now is a blank homepage with a logo.

APRC supported the delay on the premise of giving the public a chance to read the CARES bill and understand what it is asking for. Yet APRC’s proposed alternative is no longer available on APRC’s website.

Addendum, July 2nd, 2014: In response to Autism Investigated, APRC confirmed it is moving to a new website that is under construction yesterday on Facebook: “Contrary to this article, we are developing a more comprehensive website resulting from the many inquiries and increased interest in our platforms and ideas. We’ll post the new improved link when it’s ready. Stay Tuned!”

Addendum, July 10th, 2014: On July 6th, I commented under the above statement, asking APRC:  “Why did you scrub your old website before the new one could replace it?” I got no answer. The old APRC website autismpolicy.org now re-directs to autismpolicy.net, which is “Password Protected.”

Addendum, July 11th, 2014: The new website is now publicly available. The National Autism Association is no longer listed as a member organization of APRC.

Addendum, January 18th, 2015: …nor is Talk About Curing Autism.
