At an event discussing free speech on campus, the editor of Autism Investigated confronted a panel moderated by The Rubin Report host Dave Rubin on the topic of vaccine safety. The discussion was very informative and enlightening, but all three panelists were clearly uncomfortable discussing the topic mentioned before them.

PANELISTS:

Faisal Saeed Al Mutar — Founder of the Global Secular Humanist Movement and Ideas Beyond Borders

Dave Rubin (moderator) — Creator and host of “The Rubin Report”

Steve Simpson — Editor of “Defending Free Speech” and director of Legal Studies at the Ayn Rand Institute

From the event description:

College used to be grounded in the inviolate principle that each of us should confront new ideas, speak our minds, and learn. Has that time passed?

This year alone we have seen a riot at U.C. Berkeley and violence at Middlebury college over controversial speakers.

Instead of “express yourself,” a new view seems to be taking hold: “Suppress yourself—or I’ll do it for you.”

What is happening to free speech on campus?

On Tuesday, April 18, join the Ayn Rand Institute, the University of Texas-Austin Objectivism Society, Young Conservatives of Texas, and our distinguished panelists for a special discussion focused on this question.
