After Terrorist Threat, “Vaccine Diplomat” Peter Hotez Incites More Hatred

Hotez Bill

Peter Hotez hates our right to reject vaccinations. Hotez called Americans who do a “hate group” one month after a terrorist threat to mass murder vaccine skeptics. He is in denial of his daughter’s vaccine injury, and thinks he’s above those he represents in a foreign land.

David Gorski of all bloggers helped further prove that Hotez is no diplomat. Just recently, Autism Investigated renewed its call for the State Secretary to fire Hotez from his diplomatic position in Israel for calling vaccine skeptics and anti-vaccinationists a “hate group.” Meanwhile, Gorski couldn’t keep his mouth shut. So he reacted with the below tweet.

Peter Hotez likes Gorski’s tweet.

Peter Hotez proves he doesn’t take his job seriously. He has no respect for the State Department. “Vaccine Diplomacy” as he calls it is an oxymoron. The man thinks many of his own constituents are a “hate group.” Hotez feels the same way about vaccine skeptics in Israel too.

He even wants thugs to “fight” for him. It doesn’t matter to him that there was a recent death threat against vaccine skeptics, including one doctor in particular. After all, Hotez incites such hatred.

Peter Hotez and David Gorski like this tweet too.

Peter Hotez is the wrong person to represent American interests. Yet he does so in a part of the world marred by so much conflict. He’s using the North Korea summit to push vaccine “diplomacy.” That should scare everyone.

Tell Secretary Pompeo to Oust Peter Hotez from Israel for “Hate Group” Lie

State Secretary Mike Pompeo, Israel National News

Mike Pompeo was sworn in as the 70th US Secretary of State last month. The US embassy in Israel was relocated to Jerusalem three weeks ago. The US-Israel Binational Science Foundation published a puff piece about board member Peter Hotez in its newsletter two weeks ago. In light of these developments, Autism Investigated renews its call for the State Department to oust him from the foundation’s board. Contact Secretary Pompeo and demand Hotez’s firing!

Honorable Secretary Mike Pompeo,

I am writing to ask that you remove Dr. Peter Hotez from the US Israel Binational Science Foundation. I have previously written the department under your predecessor Secretary Tillerson, but no one has addressed the substance of my complaint.

Peter Hotez has proven himself unfit to represent our country in any diplomatic capacity. At an academic keynote lecture he delivered in February, Dr. Hotez called organizations like Texans for Vaccine Choice and the National Vaccine Information Center “a hate group” and said “They are a hate group that hates [our] family and hates [our] children.”(1)

Whatever your opinion is of these specific groups, they are not hate groups. They seek to raise awareness for issues concerning vaccine safety and the right to opt out of school vaccine mandates for children.

Dr. Hotez is also extremely hypocritical to judge the intent of such groups when he is a member of the National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine). The IoM produced reports proclaiming vaccination safe that purported to be scientific. In reality, IoM report authors had already decided in secret meetings to produce that conclusion at the behest of their federal sponsors before looking at any scientific evidence.(2)

Regardless of one’s position on vaccine safety, however, Dr. Hotez disqualifies himself from being worthy of such a position of international diplomacy. His zealotry, disregard of other viewpoints and contempt for people who do not share his ideological commitment to vaccination is a disgrace to our wonderful country and everything that we stand for. His representation contradicts President Trump’s commitment to work on vaccine safety with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and is counter-intuitive to the historic relocation of our embassy to Jerusalem. We should not have Peter Hotez representing US interests to any foreign partner here or abroad.

Sincerely,

Jake Crosby, MPH

NOW THIS: Watch The Top Ten Moments The Vaccine People “Lose Their Sh*t”

Note: Profanity removed at the request of the editor’s mother.

The millennial fake news site Now This tweeted of recent efforts in New Jersey to curb religious exemptions from vaccination:

Watch anti-vaxxers lose their sh*t over a law that encourages critical vaccines

In response, Autism Investigated has put together a round-up of what it considers to be the top ten moments the vaccine people publicly lost their sh*t (over much, much less). Don’t see your favorite moments listed here? Feel free to share in the comments below! (Note: This list does not include direct threats of physical violence or death, though number one is close…)

10. Publication Bias

Now-former “Science”Blogger Tara C. Smith lost her sh*t when the only vaccinated versus unvaccinated study of autism was finally published.

Under pressure of boycott, the journal canned the study’s publication. The study has since been published in another journal.

9. Interview Decline

Credential-fabricating vaccine doc Paul Offit lost his sh*t at the idea of an interview with people he disagrees with, November 2016.

8. Not Very Diplomatic

Five years prior when challenged at NIH by Autism Investigated’s editor, Offit also lost his sh*t.

That was also when the editor was escorted out of the room, prompted by NIH doctor Tara Palmore who also lost her sh*t.

The NIH record which covered the event lied and said the editor “stormed out of the room and slammed the door.” The very end of the full video of Offit and Palmore’s exchange caught on a hot mic says otherwise:

PO: I saw him earlier. I saw him sitting there earlier.

TP: You did?

PO: I was about three slides into it.

TP: You signaled me. I didn’t realize it. I’m sorry.

PO: No, no, I didn’t signal you. It was really too late.

NIH director Francis Collins would later tell the editor at a federal meeting, “it does not sound like you were very diplomatic in your approach.”

7. Mob for Science

Vaxxed cameraman Josh Coleman trolled California Senator Richard Pan at the anti-Trump March for Science. Josh fought off a mob of triggered marchers, who all lost their sh*t.

Josh Coleman and Senator Pan

Tolerant liberal throws Josh’s sign and says, “You’re just being a dick!”

Triggered marcher confronts Josh: “Do you have any fucking evidence, you bastard?!”

6. Ultimatum

“Journalist” Brian Deer required money to be in a film, only to later get mad at that film for not including him. So he lost his sh*t and sent the following ultimatum to the producer of The Pathological Optimist shortly before the film’s release:

If by midnight, Pacific, Tuesday, I have not received your assurance in these respects, or been offered by you a credible alternative plan to remedy the damage that your “documentary” inflicts on my reputation (presenting me, as you do, as too cowardly to defend my journalism), I will publish this letter to media, as well as to senior independent film makers, festival directors, and others who may be in a position to advise me. I give you four full days to decide and tell me what you are going to do.”

It didn’t work.

5. “Get rid of all the whites”

A Texas doc came up with her own idea for dealing with vaccine refusers in 2016.

In other words, she lost her sh*t.

4. California Mom Threatened With Arrest

Watch this video and see what happens when states scrap their vaccine exemptions, November 2017.

California scrapped its vaccine exemptions after measles was brought over from Switzerland, which has open borders. Yet the entire state has since become an official “sanctuary” for illegal immigrants.

The State of California has completely lost its sh*t.

3. “Get the fuck out of here! Piece of shit!”

An absolute classic, from the editor’s third encounter with Paul Offit in 2012:

“You told American Medical News that protection from vaccine litigation improves vaccine industry profits. That’s making money off the backs of vaccine-injured children.”

Here is the exact line, from American Medical News, 2008:

“But other advantages to vaccine production have become increasingly evident, Dr. Offit noted. ‘There is a fairly beaten path in how to make them, and there is, to some extent, protection from liability in children’s vaccines,’ he said.”

Angry doctorBut he continued the abuse:

“No, that is bullshit! I don’t do this for the money! Get out of here!”

And then he said:

“Get the fuck out of here! Piece of shit!”

Read the editor’s full piece on Offit’s most epic sh*t-loss at Age of Autism.

2. “They are a hate group”

Peter Hotez is a vaccine developer and the father of a young woman who is autistic because of her vaccinations. So you can understand him losing his sh*t to a degree.

What Hotez said of the National Vaccine Information Center and Texans for Vaccine Choice, however, is well beyond that degree:

“They are a hate group that hates [our] family and hates [our] children.”

Hotez actually holds a diplomatic position where he represents U.S. interests to the State of Israel. Send this letter to the State Department and ask that he be fired.

1. “Hanging Offense”

To say the Boston Herald editorial board lost its sh*t is putting it mildly. They’ve gone full Ku Vax Klan:

These are the facts: Vaccines don’t cause autism. Measles can kill. And lying to vulnerable people about the health and safety of their children ought to be a hanging offense.

A hanging offense.

BBC Host’s Anti-Vax/Anti-Semite Comparison Backfires Spectacularly

Adam Rutherford, Age of Autism

Mainstream news about autism is totally fake. Last year, BBC said wearing a medieval helmet is an “ASSET” in the workplace.

Now look what anti-vaxxers are compared to!

It didn’t end well for Rutherford, however.

(The editor was promptly blocked by Rutherford.)

While The Lancet retracted Wakefield’s early vaccine-autism paper, the journal keeps published An open letter for the people in Gaza. Dr. Ang also remains registered with a license to practice by the UK’s General Medical Council. She was never even charged with having an undisclosed conflict of interest, unlike Dr. Wakefield.

The Lancet and the UK government both clearly take exception with vaccine injury litigation. They do not take any such exception with anti-Semitism.

Adam Rutherford doesn’t either.

Threats Prove Cartoonist Right About Vaccine McCarthyism

Editor’s Note: After two years, The Epoch Times’ blog section is now closed as the site is undergoing a redesign. All Epoch Blogs from Autism Investigated are still archived. There is exciting news to come about The Epoch Times pertaining to Autism Investigated.

By Jake Crosby

Above is a cartoon originally published on DailyKos by Keith Knight, author of the K Chronicles. Knight drew the above cartoon to bring attention to what he called the “New McCarthyism” – the hypocrisy and double-standard surrounding discussions about vaccines.

As anyone could have predicted, the thread was soon awash in nasty comments including threats so bad he eventually caved and removed the whole cartoon – proving Knight right about Vaccine McCarthyism.

“I took it down myself. A few comments crossed the line with me, so I took it down,” he reportedly said of the cartoon. “I can take the personal threats…but once it goes beyond that — ”

Making clear how inflammatory the vaccine issue was even when compared to other inflammatory subjects, he said:

“I may do a follow-up at some point, but for now I’ll stick to less inflammatory subjects like abortion, Israel/Palestine, and gun control.”

Abortion clinics have been bombed, a member of Israeli parliament has been called a “war criminal” at an academic panel discussion, and the National Rifle Association’s famous slogan is “I’ll give you my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead hands. Yet in Knight’s own experience, the vaccine issue is even more inflammatory than these other inflammatory issues.

The Daily Cartoonist weighed in on the situation with the following commentary:

“Expressing unpopular opinion is not for everyone. Side affects vary but may include pissing off people who think of themselves as tolerant, inflaming internet comment sections or receiving unwanted threats to oneself or family.”

Such threats were apparently fair game to one blogger who deeply despised Knight’s cartoon:

“The only heartening bit is how most of the commenters contribute to giving Knight a new sphincter.”

Direct those same kinds of threats at that very blogger, and watch the incitement turn to self-pity.

While the DailyKos took no apparent action against the trolls making the threats before the entire post was taken down, it has its own unique style of censorship like those of other left-wing, big government sites. The Huffington Post enforces censorship by removing articles without any explanation or warning. “Throwing a writer to the wolves” is what Salon did by retracting Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “Deadly Immunity” article, according to the site’s own founder. But the preferred method of censorship at DailyKos is banning any commenter who argues vaccines cause autism.

If DailyKos was not directly involved in the removal of the post or even in the incitement of trolls (both of which I have a hard time believing), the site certainly created the perfect environment for the New McCarthyism Knight denounced to take root by banning people who would otherwise support him in the comment thread. Unlike at DailyKos, expressing different views will not get anyone banned from commenting at Autism Investigated; making threats will get a commenter banned.

So the cartoon is now posted here, and is here to stay.

Addendum: After one commenter’s reported experience with having comments censored at DailyKos, a decision has been made to not allow any comments that link to that site. If DailyKos will shut down discussion about topics routinely discussed here, then there is no reason to link any readers to that site only to be banned from commenting. Unless DailyKos overturns its policy of censorship, any submitted comment that links to DailyKos will be deleted. No exceptions.
